Mike McKeown

Mike has lived Somerford Keynes since 1999, with his wife and three boys - their youngest was literally born where he lives, an unexpected home-birth!

Mike has worked in the tech industry since 1990, including Cisco, GCHQ, Synamedia, Kaltura and now Verimatrix (a Cybersecurity company), leading teams across the world. He also volunteers as a mentor to Stepping Up.

Mike was a founding member of a homeowner's association in the early 2000s, chairing the group for three years and organsing social events for many years. With a group of locals, Mike set up the Thames Head Energy social enterprise to reduce the community's energy costs and carbon emissions.

Mike served on Somerford Keynes Parish for ten years, contributing to its Neighbourhood Development Plan and campaigned for super-fast broadband.
